Actors Management International Now Open!

A new actor’s management company has opened in Perth, Actors Management International. Owned and managed by Ali Roberts and Peter Gunn, the agency has an affiliation with the Ali Roberts Studio in Perth, US agents and managers.

The formation of Actors Management International was a direct result of the Ali Roberts Studio actors having success in the United States and Australia, due to Roberts’ ongoing personal management. Roberts is well known as an on-set acting coach, director, writer and producer.

Roberts has run successful US Acting Tours to New York and Los Angeles for the past 5 years and this year, and with the opening of her agency, already has eleven of her actors signed up for U.S. representation. From this success there was a natural progression to establish a full service agency with two separate divisions – Management and Agency.

The Management Division has been operating since late in 2014. Roberts is responsible for the Management Division of Actors Management International. Roberts previously established one of Perth’s most successful modelling and casting agencies,

Directions West, which then became Actors Management.

The Agency Division will operate to represent actors within Australian film, theatre, commercial, print and radio industries. A key member of the Actors Management International team is Maxine Howell-Price who is Principal Agent and manages the Agency Division.

Howell-Price is also an industry veteran who is passionate about her actors, and has been nurturing and sharing her experiences with her actors for over 25 years.

Roberts said one of the highlights of her time as an agent was choosing Melissa George to audition for Home and Away.

“I’m excited to be back working with actors and developing their careers.

“I’m very happy to have Maxine join our team to head up the agency side of things while I focus on the international management.

“Actors and clients love and respect her,” Roberts said.

Howell-Price has worked on air at Channel 7 – Perth and Melbourne, Channel 9 – Perth, Channel 10 – Sydney, as well as in theatre, commercials, voiceovers and promotions.

Howell-Price has been an agent for many years and is very well known and highly respected in the Industry.

Actors Management International partner, Gunn, comes from a business and sales management background in a variety of industries including accounting, software and corporate travel and will manage the agency’s business operations.

Roberts and Gunn are excited about the journey ahead with each of their actors, and both say they will get a great deal of satisfaction from seeing their actors grow, develop, and reach their goals and dreams.
